Broken Communication Quest
Starting NPC: Talk to Rin Hesperos Haven, loc 14.6k, 16.1k.Level Requirement: Lvl 50
Comments on Solo, Grouped, or Battlegrouped:
Some say can do solo, some say need to be grouped. This depends on what class you are playing.
Steps:
1. Talk to the starting NPC, Rin, loc 14.6k, 16.1k.2. Travel to Volcanus Haven, talk to Frearwen, loc 54, 25 in Oceanus Anatole (loc provided by Seekor). say Eloitlan's name to Frearwen.
3. Find Dockmaster Richards and /s late.
4. Travel to 15195, 48672, anatole and /search at the very bottom when you get the You have entered Scattered Ship Wreckage. You won't see any ship wreckage.
5. Travel back to Frearwen, show her the ruins of the ship
7. Travel back to Rin in Hesperos and give him the note from Frearwen
8. Give him the ruins of the ship
9. Listen to his story and receive the reward
Easily soloable. No more aggro than a few yellow or blue sharks along the swim, that emerald simulacrum handily dispatched.

Tips:
Hi, im a lvl 50 bard... When i got to the ship wreck site i was greeted by 4 yellow heavily aggressive con mobs none of which i could mezz or run away from much less kill more than 1 at a time. Jan 24Apparently, something is awry with the actual location of the wreckage.
Going all over the rock, the location of the wreckage cannot be found. Instead, you have to travel Underneath(!) the rock, at loc 12112, 46775 (face the rock so that you're looking East). There is a large gap under the rock that suggests a cave entrance, but lacks a proper interior visually (as in, it's a world bug, the rock was not placed properly). In the middle underneath the rock on the ocean floor, is where the wreckage is. You can leave the buggy rock/cave by going through the rock in any direction.
the quest says there may not be a visible shipwreck, basically you need to search. Go to loc 14, 42 or close to there, there is gonna be a large boulder on the ocean floor and when you go next to it its gonna be written that you have just entered in the hidden shipwreck, search there and youll find what your seeking

Broken communications quest has a new loc for ship wreckage parts.. Loc is at very bottom 15195, 48672. Hope this helps. 11/7

I searched for the "hidden" cave entrance but could not find it. I proceded to cruise around the base of the rock looking for the shipwreck area. When I had made it almost completely around to where I started I was attacked and killed by an orange con shark, yellow con octopus, and a blue con ray. This seems to be an ongoing theme in ToA that mobs normally found in the area of quest are super-aggro to anyone who has the quest until the quest is completed. Nov 17
