Mau of Sekhmet Quest
Starting NPC: Inarus (Stygian Delta 38.9k 13.5k)Level Requirement: I got the quest with my level 46 bot. - Luden
A Level 44 could not get this quest. Still don't know minimum.
Comments on Solo, Grouped, or Battlegrouped:
A level 48 finished this with a 42 cleric buffing and light healing.
Steps:
I've done this quest a few times, and the order in which you have to kill the mobs is random. I've had to kill a Blazing Scarab as well.You only have to kill 4 mobs each time, but it seems to randomly pick them. Nov 16

The 4 items you need are
Black Crocodile Egg (Black Crock in Atum)
Setian Fang (Setian near Sphinx)
Desert Scorpion Poison (Again, near sphinx)
Ianocolo Poison (The winged snakes all over the place)
Then "use" the Sphinx Engraved Jar you get after "interact"ing with the Tablet. You should get another tablet that tells you to kill the Janni. I had to kill a couple for the Essance they drop. Again, they are real close to the Sphinx.
Then "use" the Sphinx Engraved Jar again to combine the Janni essance, then "use" it once more to get the faction bonus and HoT potion.

Tips:
The Wandering Mau are on the Mau of Bastet faction, and the plain mau and the lions are on the Mau of Sekhmet faction. To get neutral faction with the Mau of Bastet, one guy did the Mau of Bastet quests four times and killed some setians. Nov 13- Airitech
I am a 48 cleric and my husband and I did the Mau of Sekhmet quest 6 times and are still aggressive to the Mau. Husband is a 50 pally and neither of us has ever killed a Mau. Just wanted to let you know since it is posted from others that doing quest 5 or 6 times can get you neutral. Jan 9

I'm at the end, I have the Janni Blood.
What the hell do I do with it?!?
Use your Sphinx Engraved Jar again, and it will combine that blood with the items in the jar, after you do that, use the Jar one more, and you will have completed the quest, you will also recieve a 40 value HoT Potion good for one use, and just over 8 gold. Nov 5

Inarus is the starting NPC, he gives you a Sphunx Papyrus. To read it, you have to right click it and /interact.

The sphinx is Directly North of Stygia Haven. Just go north till you cross river and see some ruins.
The windsurge janni are very close to the Sphinx who gives the quest. Literally a bowshot away to the west I believe.
You need to do these quests 5 or 6 times to go neutral
